Lake Bridgeport is located on the West Fork Trinity River in Jack and Wise Counties, off U.S. Highway 380, has a surface area of 11,954 acres and a maximum depth of 85 feet.

It was impounded in 1932 and renovated in 1972 with a new spillway. The predominant fish species include the largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, white bass, hybrid striped (palmetto) bass, channel catfish, crappie, and sunfish.
